THINK. LEAD. STAY

A practical guide for respiratory therapists ready to think differently, lead intentionally, and build a career worth keeping.

Technical skills may get you into the room, but clinical reasoning, leadership, and professional growth determine how you thrive once you're there.

Drawing on more than two decades of experience as a respiratory therapist, educator, and residency program enhancer, THINK. LEAD. STAY. goes beyond orientation to explore what it truly takes to become a confident clinician and an impactful leader.

Whether you're a student, new graduate, experienced therapist, preceptor, educator, or department leader, this book offers practical strategies, real-world stories, and actionable tools that you can begin using immediately.

Why I Wrote This Book

After years of working alongside respiratory therapists at every stage of their careers, I noticed a common pattern. We spend tremendous effort helping clinicians learn what to do, but far less time helping them understand why.

I wrote THINK. LEAD. STAY. because I believe clinical excellence is built through critical thinking, intentional leadership, meaningful mentorship, and a culture where people continue to grow. My hope is that this book encourages healthcare professionals to think differently, lead confidently, and build careers they truly enjoy.
